I was so excited by today’s fifth grade project that I had to post this asap! The fifth graders worked on 3-dimensional paper collages. They were shown two types of paper folds, given a 9”x9” white board, and a selection of colored 2” squares. The rest was up to them.
Some students kept their designs simple and played with color combinations while others experimented with variations on the folds. I love projects like this because it’s amazing to see what the students discover. They’re constantly coming up with new ideas or ways to do things.
