Andy inspired prints

The second graders just learned about Andy Warhol. He was a pioneer in the Pop Art movement and created art work that focused on the popular culture of the 60's. He named his New York City studio the Factory and it was there that he created some of his most iconic work. He liked to make multiples using a technique called print making. Like Warhol, the students drew an image of something popular today and transferred it to a Styrofoam plate. Then they used block printing ink to make multiple copies called prints.
