The kindergarteners worked on their Original Works. After discussing the various body parts that make up animals, they created their own imaginary animals. First they used crayons to draw their animal. Since we’ve been discussing lines, the students filled the bodies of their animals with line patterns. Then a thin layer of water-based paint was applied over the crayon.



When paint meets crayon, the crayon says to the paint, “stop paint, you can’t go through.” It acts as a wax-resist.


Some animals had wings!
